Verder Pumps to launch new Verderflex DURA model at Electra Mining.

The latest addition to the new generation DURA range in the Verderflex peristaltic hose pump series will be launched by Verder Pumps SA (Pty) Ltd. (VPSA) at the Electra Mining show taking place at Nasrec Expo Centre from 8 to 12 September 2008.

The Verderflex DURA model has an ultra-compact construction dramatically reducing required floor space by up to 70% and rigid pump housing designed for heat dispersion and strength. Due to the viscous nature of the products pumped by Verderflex peristaltic hose pumps, the range has been designed to provide much lower capital running costs. The pump has a ‘greased for life’ bearing and centrally absorbs the forces released in the pump, offering lower maintenance and a durable pump drive – ideal for the pumping of slurries, 80% solids, abrasives or viscous liquids.

For close to six years, the number of pumps sold by VPSA has grown exceptionally. The latest order for two VF125s was received from DRA Mineral Projects for the Thickener Underflow pumps at Pilansberg Platinum Mines, bringing the total number of VF125 pumps sold to 40 – the most sold within the entire Verder Group. With a further two VF125 pumps in the pipeline for Suzdal Mine Kazakstan Russia, VPSA hope to break the 50th pump sold before year end.

The Verderflex pump range has grown in acceptance by the market due to the design features and durability. With the latest addition to the DURA range, sales are expected to increase substantially.

Verderair sales remain on the increase. With the unique air valve, it is expected that sales for the product will continue to grow exponentially. More significantly, a trend is being seen where the Verdermag pumps are being favoured over conventional centrifugal pumps with mechanical seals. Their leak-free feature makes them a sensation for applications where environmental aspects must be taken into consideration.
